Improve your English Language Skills . . .
(1.) English as a Second Language (ESL) Teaching Services
“Storytelling Communications” is a communications company that teaches economic immigrants and internationally trained, non-native English speaking academics to improve their English language skills—listening, speaking, reading and writing.
As an ESL Teacher, I have been certified by TEFL.org (in the UK), completed an ESL practicum (based in Toronto) and undertaken benchmark training from CCLB (Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks). With these credentials, I have taught and tutored many non-native speakers in the English language.
Working in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, I focus on online and (especially) in-person classes that will help you grow in the four major skill areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
- Are you an economic immigrant, wanting to secure better contracts and clients?
- Or are you an internationally educated (non-native English speaking) academic in Canada, trying to publish your research and build your career?
- Are you falling short in professional conversations or interviews?
- Do you want to move from surviving to thriving in English?
If these terms describe you . . . .
Trust your language skills to me, a versatile and highly trained teacher. . . .
I can assist you in improving your skills in English listening, speaking, reading and writing—-(e.g.) in pronunciation, accent modification, conversation and vocabulary, as well as grammar, structure and style.
Near Paris, France
I recommend in-person classes, whenever possible, and at least for the first few meetings.
Learners will need to bring/provide their Canadian Language Benchmark proficiency test results (from CLB 3-12) from the Language Assessment Referral Centre (LARC) in Saskatoon (or comparable provider).
RATES for TEACHING/TUTORING** :
I teach individuals (one-on-one) or small groups (up to five students). Groups of students must have learners with comparable CLB levels. Prices reflect the degree of customization required by learners’ needs.
I care. I do research. I prepare. I provide options. I customize. each class I teach.
- One (1) student, for one hour, $60/hr
- Three (3) students, for one hour, $175/hr
- Five (5) students, for one hour, $275/hr
**Fees include all preparation, marking, mid-week communication and consultations. Each class is customized and tailored to the learner’s needs. I never teach “cookie-cutter”/template-based classes.

(2.) Editing Services
Do you lack the time or knowledge to edit your academic or business books, articles, essays, curriculum vitae, applications for tenure or promotion, or resumes in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Education?
I can help with these, as well.
Trust your academic and business documents to a skilled and professional editor, like me . . . . Good academic or business writing needs to communicate specific points coherently, with well-structured paragraphs that demonstrate solid grammar and style.
